TipWatch is perfect for loading on the farm
Vehicles carrying goods to and from agricultural businesses are not always working in 100% controlled environments. Picking up or dropping off in fields, operating with or around heavy plant machinery and working in all weathers on sometimes muddy, wet, untreated surfaces all pose specific safety challenges.
One of the biggest concerns of haulage operators in these environments is the risk of vehicles slipping and/or tipping. With that in mind, we developed TipWatch, an award-winning feature which compares axle weight distribution with ground level and triggers audio and visual alerts if the vehicle is at risk of overbalancing during loading and unloading. The system can also be integrated directly with a vehicle’s tipper control system to halt operations automatically.
Operators often complain that the placement of displays and monitors for onboard systems in cabs is impractical. It means drivers have to be inside the cab during loading or unloading to see data in real time or hear alerts clearly, which creates a safety risk.
To address those concerns, we developed VPG Connect, a mobile integration solution that connects our vehicle onboard weighing 1155 type systems to tablets and smartphones via WiFi. That means operators can get all the weighing data they need at a safe distance from the vehicle during loading and unloading, and need never miss a safety alert. VPG Connect also serves as a telematics solution, sending data back to fleet managers to assist with time and location tracking, compliance and safety monitoring and more.
BulkWeigh Systems
BulkWeigh is a bespoke on-vehicle weighing system for bulk haulage vehicles with a GVW of between 17 and 50 tonnes. Simple to operate and with exceptional accuracy of ±1% or better across all GVW, our BulkWeigh range also comes with TipWatch and AxleWatch safety monitoring as standard.
Shear pin load cells offer a highly flexible on-board weighing solution that has the benefits of easy installation and low maintenance. Applications include use in the rear hinge assembly of dump trucks and roll-offs. Shear pin systems are highly robust and reliable, delivering outstanding accuracy typically within 1% of GVW.
TruckWeigh is built around our revolutionary axle transducer technology providing a cost attractive solution where overload protection is all needed. Suitable for vehicles with a GVW above 7.5 tonnes, it delivers individual axle and vehicle gross weight monitoring to an accuracy of better than ±2.5% (90-100% GVW). This solution can support an unlimited number of axles or multi trailer setups with any type of suspension.
VanWeigh is the market-leading overload protection and load optimisation solution designed for dual-axle light commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. The lightweigh, rugged and easy to install system bnefots from our patented axle transducer technology, keeping you safe and legal a high accuracy level of better than ±2,5% (90–100% of GVW). Straightforward to operate with clear audible and vidual alarms, VanWeigh is compatible with all suspension types.
LFT 1500 is a pay-by-weigh system approved for trade invoicing from the cab. Accurate to 20kg on 15,000kg, this load cell solution comes with a range of data transfer options and an in-built electronic data storage device (DSD). It is ideal for a range of bulk delivery applications as well as waste and recycling transportation.
