Our BinWeigh 03 system offers something different - a ‘pay-by-bin’ solution which dynamically weighs material collected in a wheelie bin as it is lifted, before it is tipped into the truck, and instantly transfers load data over the air via the cloud for direct billing. Dynamic Weighing for Wheelie Bin Collection Vehicles
The BinWeigh 03 system is legal-for-trade certified to Class Y(b) on wheelie bin collection vehicles, meeting the strict accuracy standards required for pay-by-weight billing. Combining VPG Onboard Weighing’s proven weight sensor technology with a modern cloud-based software platform, BinWeigh 03 processes weight, collection and client data simultaneously for each bin while collection is still in progress.
Transferring this data together in real time to the cloud platform streamlines and speeds up billing and account administration. An upgrade option for existing BinWeigh 02 systems furthermore allows existing customers to take advantage of this cutting edge, dynamic approach to pay-by-weight for wheelie bins.

Real-Time Credit Control at Lifting Station
The BinWeigh 03 system is continously connected to the GSM network, up to 4G speed, enabling seamless over the air data transfer for real-time credit control and optional further cloud based backoffice services, including geolocation, billing and more.
The RFID chip in the bin gets checked against the authorization list of the collection agency and automatically blocks unauthorized bins from been lifted. A separate display at the lift station of the vehicle shows clear status screens at the same time. A client hasn’t paid their last collection bill? BinWeigh 03 lets drivers see the credit status of each customer before they pick their next bin. The BinWeigh 03 system makes use of RFID chips in each wheelie bin to identify each client. These chips also mean each bin can be checked against a customer authorisation list before being emptied.
The BinWeigh 03 system is continuously connected to the GSM (mobile) network, transferring and receiving data at up to 4G speed, so operators always get the benefit of up-to-date credit control information as they do their rounds. If an overdue payment comes in, the authorisation data available to vehicle operators can be updated in a matter of minutes.

Real-Time 4G Wireless Data Transfer
Waste vehicle lifters equipped with the BinWeigh 03 system are continously connected to the GSM network, enabling seamless operation. The system accesses the fastest speed available by the GSM service provider in the vehicle’s current location.
Real-Time Credit Control
The BinWeigh 03 system enables continuous status updates to the full authorization list of all bins belonging to the collection agency. This feature enables real-time accuracy of allowed vs. blocked bins and enhances customer service and satisfaction. When a domestic or commercial customer pays their wheelie bin collection service provider, the customer’s bins can be emptied in as little as the next two minutes. Time is dependent on how often the customer management database is updated. In real time, the lorry transfers the lift information after each bin collection is complete.
In-Cab Indicator with 7˝ Touch Screen
A large 7˝ touch screen displays important information about the current condition of the BinWeigh 03 system, the bin currently being lifted, the RFID number, the weight of the bin, the working status of each lifter and the credit control status, i.e., suspended bin.
4.3˝ LCD Lifter Status Box display
An environmentally protected, rugged and bright second display is mounted right at the lift station at the exterior of the vehicle, showing the status of every bin clearly. Status gets updated in real-time with over the air data transfer using mobile network.
Proactive Hardware Failure Alert
Our proactive hardware failure alert feature is designed to minimize downtime. Each BinWeigh 03 system component is continuously monitored to ensure its condition is fully operational. In the event of a hardware failure, the vehicle sends a status report alert to the cloud service, and an email message is sent to relevant personnel to respond in real time to the issue. Email alerts assignments can be customized according to customer requirements, e.g., dedicated VPG engineer, dedicated mechanic, fleet manager, etc. This unique feature distinguishes the BinWeigh 03 system from any other system and sets new industry standards.
Configurable for Split Body Vehicles
The BinWeigh 03 system can be configured for split body vehicles, with the ability to prevent incorrect product from being emptied into the wrong compartment.
