Ask a questionThe system
Is TruckWeigh 1155 a weighing system?
No. TruckWeigh 1155 is an overload protection system. It is accurate to within ±2.5% between 90 and 100% of gross vehicle weight, the range where overloading becomes a risk.
How often does it need to be calibrated?
Thanks to our patented "fit and forget" technology, TruckWeigh does not need recalibrating unless the vehicle is physically changed.
Can it connect to telematics or other on-board systems?
Yes. TruckWeigh has an RS232 serial port for connecting to other systems such as vehicle telematics.
How long does it take to fit?
Typically 4 to 8 hours to fit and calibrate, depending on the number of axles and the type of vehicle.
Vehicles and trailers
What size of vehicle will TruckWeigh work on?
Any vehicle with a gross weight up to 44 tonnes.
How many axles will the system work with?
TruckWeigh works on rigid vehicles with up to 4 axles, and on articulated vehicles with air suspension.
Does it work on all types of suspension?
It suits most suspension types, including steel springs and most air suspension variants.
Can I swap tractors and trailers?
Each TruckWeigh 1155 system can be used with up to 3 different trailers. For an unlimited number of trailers, choose TruckWeigh 1160.
Will it work on combinations with more than one trailer, such as road trains?
TruckWeigh 1155 is designed for rigid vehicles, or articulated vehicles with a single trailer. TruckWeigh 1160 works with an unlimited number of trailers at the same time, which makes it the right choice for road trains.
Does TruckWeigh work on waste vehicles?
Yes. TruckWeigh suits any waste vehicle up to 44 tonnes gross weight. An optional key switch disengages the packer plate when the vehicle reaches its maximum gross weight.
